JAZZ and BLUES CLUB

The club organizes a wide variety of events continuously, trying to please all ages. Over the years, here, in Jass and Blues club numerous concerts of jazz took place, blues, pop, rock, and even clezmer music interpreting  by artists as HQ, Paula Seling, David Luke Michael Brian and the Speak Floyd band Alex Man, Anamaria Galea, Brick Factory Station, Tündérground etc. Artists from abroad such as Dixiland Benkó Band from Hungary, Land Covered With Briar in Switzerland, Bakad Kapelye in Germany or in America Lujza Zan have sang here during last years.

In Jazz and Blues you will find intertwined several genres, from current pace sophistication to Baroque elegance, presented by Gheorghe Dima Academy students from Cluj-Napoca.

FRANCISCAN CHURCH TOWER

Franciscan Church tower built in 1802 is the only architectural element left standing from what was a larger church built in the eighteenth century.

The tower is located in the Theater Square, right in the city center of Targu Mures.

MINORE CHURCH

Located at Koteles Samuel street this is one of the mandatory sightseeing when you're in Targu Mures. The church, built in Baroque style, was built in 1740 and then in 1902 was built the bell tower in Baroque style as well.

TELEKI LIBRARY

Teleki Library, the first public library in Romania, is one of the richest collections of rare books from Transylvania, the place of European culture from past centuries. More than 200 000 volumes, an encyclopedic collection scientific structure, preserving many bibliophile rarities.

The building, that currently still works as the library, it was built for this purpose in baroque style in the years 1799-1802.

THE PALACE OF CULTURE

Location emblem of the city of Targu Mures.

The Palace of Culture in Targu Mures celebrated it’s centenary in2013, the perfect occasion for remembrance and thanksgiving to the founders, keepers and people with big hearts who have perpetuated the living spirit of this building, and they were not few. The 100 years that have passed over the building and its people, over the Mures community, were not always favorable cultural specificity Palace: two world wars, several political regimes, social unrest, but it succeed standing as a major cultural place of the city.

MUSEUM OF ETHNOGRAPHY

Toldalagi Palace, which houses the Museum of Ethnography today, was originally designed as a noble house, it was built between 1759 and 1772.

TARGU MURES ZOO

In the eastern part of the city, on the Corneşti Plateau, Zoo is located at 488 m above sea level and 197 meters above the city. Hornbeam and oak forest called "the Great Forest" offers ideal conditions for animals garden. Currently there are about 500 animals belonging to 80 species, the local fauna and exotic ones.

WEEK-END

The entertainment complex "Mureșul", known also as "Weekend", is one of the main attractions in Targu-Mures, especially during summer. Beach zone, five pools of different depths (one Olympic), terraces, restaurants, swimming boating with the possibility of hiring boats, tennis courts (field and table), beachvolei, football, Baskeball or handball, area for children, slides for children and adults, all are ingredients of summer days full of fun.
